Banstraat residence

The Banstraat project is a total refit for a typical Amsterdam School style brick house located in the 19th century ring around the city center of Amsterdam. By opening up the back facade over two floors, the house gets a renewed living and dining area over the first two floors. The shaded ground floor is transformed into a light and spacious kitchen and dining. The relation with the green garden, the outdoor space and the open sky turn this house into a modern living. The huge void connects the living room and the kitchen. The other two floors house the sleeping rooms for the family and in the basement a new office has been made.
