Johannes Theodorus (Jan) Toorop (Poerworedjo, 20 december 1858 – Den Haag, 3 maart 1928) was one of the most important Dutch artists from the period 1880-1910. At first he painted in an impressionist style, later through the pointillism he developed to be a symbolic painter.
Duinen en de zee bij Zoutelande dates from 1907. Zoutelande is a village near Domburg, where Toorop lived for a while.

4th floor Helicon

The 4th floor of Helicon holds the restaurant and a big meeting room area. The floor pattern is projected on the floor of the informal meeting area and on the floor of some of the meeting rooms.
