Aegon Schiphol
The Aegon Schiphol office for Corporate Center and Asset Management is designed as a connected landscape that brings people, activities, and perspectives together. At its heart, a series of dynamic red staircases and spatial voids weave through the building, creating strong visual lines and intuitive routes between floors. These elements do more than connect levels; they stimulate movement, encounter, and informal exchange, turning circulation into a social experience. The workplace balances openness with focus.
The new colourful stairs and voids empower connection and vitality.
Michiel Hofman | Partner architect
Generous, light-filled spaces encourage collaboration and transparency, while more grounded zones offer calm, acoustically comfortable environments for concentration and privacy. This careful layering supports different ways of working throughout the day, allowing employees to choose the setting that best fits their task and mindset. On the entrance floor, a lively restaurant and coffee bar act as the social anchor of the building. Positioned as a shared living room, this space draws people in from across the organisation, fostering spontaneous meetings and a strong sense of community. Material choices, colour accents, and sightlines reinforce openness while maintaining a clear, human scale.
