HDI Rotterdam Office
The Rotterdam office of HDI Global SE is located within a monumental building in the city center. HofmanDujardin designed the office interiors, which, alongside workplaces, also contain a restaurant, silent library space, and a welcoming entrance zone. The reception bar and waiting lounge double as an informal meeting area where employees can enjoy a juice or coffee and naturally encounter colleagues.
A balanced variation of spaces
The office offers a balanced variety of spaces for collaboration and concentration. Alongside height-adjustable workstation areas, there are several meeting rooms and alternative collaboration zones that encourage teamwork. The silent area’s large reading table offers a silent space for concentrated work.
A company informed material palette
HDI’s experience in insurance for industrial companies informed the material palette. The neutral base has light tones in steel, aluminum, and ash veneer. This is complemented by green and red tones retrieved from the corporate identity, exemplified by the eye-catching staircase that connects the two office floors. A layer of greenery and art adds surprising expressive moments to the space.
Restaurant
The compact company restaurant features three large tables that invite employees of different departments to have lunch together. Like the colorful terrazzo tiled floor, the red details add to a warm and open atmosphere, while two nooks provide a more secluded space to have lunch in a smaller group.
