ING Herengracht
ING’s Wealth Management office is situated in two listed monuments in the Amsterdam canal district. Over the years, the interiors of these buildings have radically changed and now lack most of the original elements. The renovation and interior designed by HofmanDujardin builds upon the remaining qualities while creating a balanced and rich working environment.
A warm and inviting character
The original central corridor on the ground floor inspired the new light marble floor of the renewed office. A transparent wall allows a glimpse into the office areas, as the space opens towards the reception area. Here, the timber floor and furniture pieces create a warm and inviting character, which is finished with subtle orange details to match the brand identity of the bank.
Sustainable renovation
Over centuries, the two buildings were altered multiple times. The renovation strategy aimed to keep the remaining original interior elements whilst creating a bright and open layout. The office floors combined light and neutral tones with some orange areas, reflecting the brand identity. The renovation and renewal of sustainable installations resulted in an A-label office with a comfortable working environment.
